Travis Donovan was the leader of a cabal of sorcerers called The Ring. He used it as a vehicle to increase his own personal power, and once he had reached his targeted plateau, he sent his disciples out into the world to make their own way, and secured his own power base in Calgary, AB.
Eventually the Spook Squad was able to lure him into an ambush and kill him on a highway outside of Zealandia, SK.
When he died, it was revealed that he was holder of one of the coins of the Oder of the Blackened Denarius. Which one is unclear, since rather than study the coin the Spook Squad released it to the church to dispose of.
