This group has elected to use an alternative interpretation of the armour rules for DF Saskatoon, that takes armour worn as a one or more use consequence slot that a character can take advantage of.
While armour provided by Toughness powers limits the damage taken from various attacks as normal, armour worn on the body is disposable, and can only take a limited amount of damage. To this end, we have adopted the 'extra consequences model' of armour as detailed below:
Armour Values Edit
- Light Armour (light ballistic or stab vest, studded or scale-type mail) provides a single extra Mild consequence slot, and after being used in this way is destroyed.
- Medium Armour (heavy ballistic or stab vest, SWAT armour, heavy mail) provides either two extra Mild consequence slots, or one Moderate consequence slot. After being used in this way, it is destroyed.
- Heavy Armour (Bomb-squad / blast armour, heavy vehicle armour) provides either three extra Mild consequence slots, or one Mild and one Moderate, or one Severe. After being used in this way, it is considered destroyed.
